South Australian Consolidated Acts22—Disclosure of information relating to legal assistance
(1) A
legal practitioner—
(a) must
disclose to the Commission any information relating to the provision of
legal assistance to assisted persons that the Commission may require; and
(b) may
disclose any such information that the practitioner considers relevant to the
provision of legal assistance,
and the assisted person will be taken to have waived any right or privilege
that might prevent such disclosure.
(2) Except as provided
in subsection (1), the relationship of legal practitioner and client, and
the privileges arising from the relationship, are unaffected by the fact that
the practitioner is acting for an assisted person.
