(1) A leasehold estate
or interest is capable of taking effect notwithstanding that the lessee has
not entered into possession of the land subject to the lease.
(2) This section
applies to leasehold estates or interests whether created before or after the
commencement of the Statutes Amendment (Property) Act 1980 .
