South Australian Consolidated Acts (1) A person must not,
by clandestine or dishonest means, attempt to discover how another person has
voted.
Maximum penalty: $1 250 or imprisonment for three months.
(2) No person may open
an envelope under this Act containing a vote except the returning officer, or
an electoral officer acting with the authority of the returning officer.
Maximum penalty: $750.
(3) A person who
acquires knowledge of the vote of another person through assisting the other
person to vote, or otherwise in the exercise of powers or functions under this
Act, must not divulge that knowledge.
Maximum penalty: $2 500 or imprisonment for six months.
