South Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The Panel may
establish a committee or committees to assist it in the performance of its
functions under this Chapter, or to assist in the resolution or management of
issues associated with the implementation of a proposal or proposals under
this Chapter.
(2) A committee may,
but need not, consist of a member or members of the Panel.
(3) The Panel must
consult with the Minister and the LGA—
(a)
before it establishes a committee under this section; and
(b)
before it appoints a person who is not a member of the Panel to a committee
established under this section.
(4) Subject to
direction by the Panel, a committee may determine its own procedures.
(5) However, a meeting
of a committee should be open to the public unless the committee is
considering a matter that, in the opinion of the committee, should be dealt
with on a confidential basis.
(6) The appointment of
a committee does not limit the powers of the Panel in a matter.
