South Australian Consolidated Acts717—Payment of fees etc to council
(1) All fines,
penalties and forfeitures recovered in proceedings commenced by the council,
an officer of the council, or a controlling authority established by the
council, before any court of summary jurisdiction for an offence committed
within an area against this Act or a prescribed Act, or against any by-law or
regulation made under this Act or a prescribed Act, must, except where
otherwise provided, be paid to the council of the area, except such portion of
any such fine, penalty or forfeiture as by law is or may be appropriated to
any informer other than the council or an officer of the council, or for the
reward of or compensation to any constable or other person.
(2) In
subsection (1)—
"prescribed Act" means—
(a) the
Food Act 1985 ; and
(b) the
Public and Environmental Health Act 1987 ; and
(c) any
other Act prescribed by regulation for the purposes of this section.
