South Australian Consolidated Acts591—Power of council to accept conveyances of cemetery lands from
trustees
(1) The trustees of
any land within an area held on trust for a cemetery may convey it to the
council if the council is willing to accept the trust.
(2) The council will
hold the cemetery on the original trusts or such of them as are applicable.
(3) The trustees are,
from the time of the conveyance, discharged from the trusts.
(4) The council must
not accept a conveyance of any such cemetery under this section if under the
trusts on which the council will hold the cemetery the use of the cemetery is
confined to the burial of persons of a particular religious denomination or
sect.
