next after the delivery or affixing of the copy of the inventory provided for
by section 17, the landlord may, at the expiration of those five days,
subject to the provisions hereinafter contained, and unless payment or tender
of the rent and the charges in respect of the distress be made to him by or on
behalf of the tenant before sale, sell the goods distrained for the best price
that can be obtained.
