No person shall win from any other person any money or valuable thing by fraud
or any other unlawful means—
(a) in
playing at, or with, cards, dice, tables or other games; or
(b) in
bearing a part in the stakes, wages or adventures, or in betting on the sides
or hands of them that do play; or
(c) in
betting on the event of any game, sport, pastime, or exercise.
Maximum penalty: $10 000 or imprisonment for 2 years.
