(1) The Board may, by
notice published in the Gazette—
(a)
determine conditions to be observed by persons to whom library materials are
lent by the Board;
(b)
determine conditions upon which persons may have access to library or other
materials in the possession of the Board;
(c) fix
fines, or a scale of fines, to be paid by any person who contravenes or fails
to comply with, a condition in force under this section;
(d) fix
fees to be paid for services rendered by the Board (other than the lending of
library materials);
(e) vary
or revoke a notice previously published under this section.
(2) A person by whom a
fine is payable by virtue of a notice under subsection (1) who refuses or
fails to comply forthwith with a demand by the Board for payment of the fine
shall be guilty of an offence.
Penalty: Division 10 fine.
