HARBORS AND NAVIGATION ACT 1993 - SECT 20
20—Rateability of land
(1) Subject to
subsection (2), land vested in the Crown under this Act is not rateable
under the Local Government Act 1934 .
(2) If any such land
(other than subjacent land in a port) is occupied under a lease or licence by
some person other than the Crown or an instrumentality or agency of the Crown,
that person is liable as occupier of the land to rates levied under the Local
Government Act 1934 .
