South Australian Consolidated Acts20—Term of office of Public Advocate etc
(1)
The Public Advocate will be appointed for a term of office of five years and,
on the expiration of a term of office, is eligible for reappointment.
(2) The office of
Public Advocate becomes vacant if the Public Advocate—
(a)
dies; or
(b)
completes a term of office and is not reappointed; or
(c)
resigns by notice in writing to the Governor; or
(d) is
removed from office by the Governor under subsection (3).
(3) The Governor may
remove the Public Advocate from office for—
(a)
mental or physical incapacity to carry out official duties satisfactorily; or
(b)
neglect of duty; or
(c)
dishonourable conduct.
