FAIR TRADING ACT 1987 - SECT 21

21—Harassment or coercion

        (1)         A dealer or other person must not, for the purpose of, or in the course of, negotiating a contract to which this Part applies, harass or coerce a consumer.

Maximum penalty: $10 000.

        (2)         A dealer or other person must not harass or coerce a consumer for the purpose of dissuading or preventing the consumer from exercising a right conferred on the consumer by this Part.

Maximum penalty: $10 000.
