South Australian Consolidated Acts84—Payment of money to the Chief Executive Officer
(1) The
Chief Executive Officer may receive money on behalf of a child.
(2) The
Chief Executive Officer must cause any money received on behalf of a child to
be deposited in the Treasury in the name of the Chief Executive Officer on
account of the child or in any ADI account in the name of the child.
(3) All such money
deposited in the Treasury will bear interest at a rate determined by the
Treasurer.
(4) The whole, or any
portion, of the money deposited in the Treasury on behalf of a child pursuant
to this section, and any interest on that money, may be expended for the
benefit of the child by the Chief Executive Officer at such times, and for
such purposes, as the Chief Executive Officer thinks fit.
(5) Any money held on
behalf of a child pursuant to this section is payable to the child on the
Chief Executive Officer ceasing to have any direct responsibility for the
affairs of the child.
