South Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The Minister may,
from time to time, by instrument in writing, delegate to the
Chief Executive Officer such of the Minister's powers, duties,
responsibilities and functions under this Act or any other Act as the Minister
thinks fit, and may at any time revoke any such delegation.
(2) The
Chief Executive Officer may delegate to an employee of the Department or, with
the approval of the Minister, to any other suitable person, any of the powers,
duties, responsibilities or functions vested in, or delegated to, the
Chief Executive Officer under this Act or any other Act.
(3) A delegation under
this section is revocable at will, and does not prevent the exercise or
performance of any power, duty, responsibility or function by the Minister or
Chief Executive Officer.
(4) Any power, duty,
responsibility or function vested in, or delegated to, the
Chief Executive Officer may, if the Chief Executive Officer is absent or
otherwise unable to perform the duties of office, be exercised or discharged
by the person for the time being holding or acting in the position in the
Department of Executive Director, Operations.
