South Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The Minister and
the Department should, in providing services to the community, where
appropriate—
(a)
consult with any Government department, agency or instrumentality and any
non-Government organisation that provides similar services to the community;
and
(b)
encourage members of the public and organisations to make known to the
Department—
(i)
any comments relating to the services provided by the
Department, or the manner in which those services are provided; and
(ii)
any areas of unmet needs; and
(iii)
any recommendations for the withdrawal, improvement,
extension, variation or rationalisation of any service provided by the
Department; and
(iv)
any other matters relevant to the provision of services
by the Department.
(2) The Minister must
ensure that appropriate procedures are available to allow the complaints of
clients of the Department to be considered and, if appropriate, acted upon by
the Department.
