South Australian Consolidated Acts19—Sale of food not complying with purchaser's demand
(1) A person must not,
in the course of carrying on a food business, supply food by way of sale if
the food is not of the nature or substance demanded by the purchaser.
Maximum penalty:
(a) If
the offender is a body corporate—$250 000.
(b) If
the offender is a natural person—$50 000.
(2) For the purposes
of this section, it is immaterial whether the food concerned is safe.
