South Australian Consolidated Acts21E—Recognised commercial range operators
(1) If the Minister is
satisfied that a commercial range operator conducts his or her affairs and
activities in a responsible manner, the Minister must, on application by the
operator for recognition, declare the operator to be a
recognised commercial range operator by notice in the Gazette.
(2) If the Minister
refuses an application for recognition, the Minister must provide the
applicant with a written statement setting out the reasons for the refusal.
(3) If at any time
the Minister is satisfied that a recognised commercial range operator has
failed to comply with this Act or no longer conducts his or her affairs or
activities in a responsible manner, the Minister may, by notice in the
Gazette, revoke a declaration under subsection (1).
(4) Before revoking a
declaration, the Minister must—
(a) give
the operator at least two months written notice of the proposed revocation
setting out the Minister's reasons for the proposed revocation; and
(b) give
the operator a reasonable opportunity to make written or oral submissions to
the Minister in relation to the proposed revocation.
