South Australian Consolidated Acts (1) Subject to any
requirement or direction of a Minister under this Part, an inquiry—
(a) may
be conducted in such manner as the Commission considers appropriate; and
(b) may
(but need not) involve public hearings.
(2) The Commission is
not, in the conduct of an inquiry, bound by the rules of evidence.
(3) The power of the
Commission to make a requirement under Part 5 includes, for the purposes of an
inquiry, the power to require that a person attend before the Commission at a
specified time and place and that the person answer questions or produce
documents or records as required by the Commission.
