ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION ACT 1993 - SECT 119
119—False or misleading information
A person must not make a statement that is false or misleading in a material
particular (whether by reason of the inclusion or omission of any particular)
in any information furnished, or record kept, under this Act.
Maximum penalty:
(a) if
the person made the statement knowing that it was false or misleading—
(i)
in the case of a body corporate—$120 000;
(ii)
in the case of a natural person—$60 000 or
imprisonment for 2 years;
(b) in
any other case—
(i)
in the case of a body corporate—$60 000;
(ii)
in the case of a natural person—$30 000.
