ELECTORAL ACT 1985 - SECT 130ZI
130ZI—Special reporting of large gifts
(1) If a
registered political party receives a gift the amount or value of which is
more than $25 000, the agent of the party must, within 7 days of
receiving the gift, furnish a return to the Electoral Commissioner, in a form
determined by the Electoral Commissioner, setting out the following:
(a) the
amount or value of the gift;
(b) the
date on which it was made;
(c) the
name and address of the relevant entity;
(d)
other details relating to the gift prescribed by the regulations.
(2) If the agent of a
registered political party knows that the party has received a gift requiring
a return to be furnished under this section, the agent must inform the person
who gave the gift of the requirement that the person furnish a return in
relation to the gift under this Part.
