ELECTORAL ACT 1985 - SECT 12

12—Appointment of staff

        (1)         An officer may be appointed to the staff of the Electoral Commissioner under the Public Sector Management Act 1995 .

        (2)         The Electoral Commissioner—

            (a)         may appoint such officers as are required for the purposes of an election; and

            (b)         may appoint, on a temporary basis, officers who are otherwise required for the administration of this Act.

        (3)         An officer appointed under subsection (2) must be remunerated in accordance with a scale of fees and allowances fixed from time to time by the Minister.
