EVIDENCE ACT 1929 - SECT 34
34—Admissions by accused persons
A person may admit on his trial any fact alleged or sought to be proved
against him, and such admission shall be sufficient proof of the fact without
other evidence: Provided that the admission shall be made by the accused
either personally or by his counsel or solicitor in his presence, or, in the
case of a body corporate, by its counsel or solicitor.
