DOG AND CAT MANAGEMENT ACT 1995 - SECT 81B
81B—Offence to interfere with identification of dog or cat
A person must not, without reasonable excuse, interfere with or remove—
(a) a
microchip; or
(b) any
other form of identification worn by or attached to a dog or cat,
(whether or not the microchip or other identification is required under this
Act).
Maximum penalty: $5 000.
Expiation fee: $315.
