South Australian Consolidated Acts15—Functions of the Advisory Council
(1) The functions of
the Advisory Council are as follows:
(a) to
monitor and evaluate the administration and operation of this Act; and
(b) to
report to the Minister on any matter referred to the Advisory Council by the
Minister; and
(c) to
report of its own motion to the Minister on any matter pertaining to the
administration or operation of this Act; and
(d) to
perform such other functions as may be prescribed by or under this Act, or any
other Act.
(2) A member of
the Advisory Council is entitled at any reasonable time to enter and inspect
any correctional institution and ask questions of any person within the
institution.
