South Australian Consolidated Acts10—Continuation of the Advisory Council
(1) The Correctional
Services Advisory Council continues in existence.
(2)
The Advisory Council consists of six members appointed by the Governor, of
whom—
(a) one
(the presiding member) will be a person who has, in the opinion of the
Governor, extensive knowledge of, and experience in, the science of
criminology or penology or any other related science; and
(b) one
(the deputy presiding member) will be a person who has, in the opinion of the
Governor, extensive knowledge of, and experience in, the field of business
management, medicine, social welfare or education; and
(c) one
will be a person nominated by the Attorney-General; and
(d)
three will be persons nominated by the Minister.
(3) At least one of
the members of the Advisory Council must be a woman and at least one must be a
man.
