South Australian Consolidated Acts37—Part does not apply to murder or treason
The powers vested in a court by this Part—
(a) are
exercisable despite the fact that a special Act prescribes a minimum penalty;
but
(b) are
not exercisable in relation to—
(i)
murder or treason; or
(ii)
any other offence in respect of which a special Act
expressly prohibits the reduction, mitigation or substitution of penalties or
sentences.
