South Australian Consolidated Acts (1) A notice or other
document required or authorised by this Act to be served or given to any
person by the Board may be served—
(a)
personally; or
(b) by
leaving the notice or document at an address for service; or
(c) by
sending the notice or document or a sealed copy of the notice or document by
post addressed to the person at an address for service; or
(d) by
such other method as is permitted by any Act.
(2) In any case to
which subsection (1)(c) applies, unless the contrary is proved, service
of a notice or document will be deemed to have been effected two business days
after the date of posting.
(3) In this
section—
"address for service", in relation to a person means—
(a) the
person's last known place of residence or business; or
(b) an
address for service as shown on a return furnished by the person under this
Act (not being an address superseded by a subsequent address for service shown
on a later return);
"business day" means any day except Saturday, Sunday or a public holiday.
