COLLECTIONS FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES ACT 1939 - SECT 16
16—Application of money and property for other charitable purposes
(1) Where, in the
opinion of the Minister, it is impracticable to apply money or property
collected or received pursuant to a licence under this Act or to apply the
proceeds of an entertainment conducted pursuant to a licence under this Act
for the charitable purpose for which the money or property was collected or
received, or to which the proceeds of the entertainment were to be devoted,
the Governor may, by proclamation made on the recommendation of the Minister,
direct the person, society, body or association concerned to apply the money
or property for a similar charitable purpose specified in the proclamation or
to give them to another person, society, body or association to be applied for
that charitable purpose.
(2) In
subsection (1)—
"money" includes money accruing from investment of money referred to in that
subsection.
