South Australian Consolidated Acts62—Qualifications for membership
(1) A person is not
qualified to be admitted to membership of a co-operative unless—
(a)
there are reasonable grounds for believing that the person will be an active
member of the co-operative; and
(b) the
person is otherwise eligible under the rules of the co-operative.
(2) The rules of a
co-operative must contain provisions that—
(a)
impose a duty on all persons who become members to be active members; and
(b)
explain the consequences of failing to be or ceasing to be an active member.
