South Australian Consolidated Acts53—Falsification of certificate etc
(1) A person must not
forge the Registrar's signature or seal.
Maximum penalty: $10 000 or imprisonment for 2 years.
(2) A person must not
forge or falsify a certificate or other document under this Act.
Maximum penalty: $10 000 or imprisonment for 2 years.
(3) The Registrar may
impound—
(a) a
document which the Registrar has reason to believe bears a forged impression
of the Registrar's signature or seal; or
(b) a
certificate or other document purporting to be a certificate or other document
under this Act which the Registrar has reason to believe has been forged or
falsified; or
(c) a
certificate under this Act about a registrable event if the entry in the
Register about the event has been cancelled or corrected since the issue of
the certificate.
