ADMINISTRATION AND PROBATE ACT 1919 - SECT 51
51—Executor or administrator to have power of sale of real estate for
payment of debts
(1) Every executor or
administrator shall, whether there is a charge of debts, or a trust for
payment of debts, or not, have the same power of sale of real estate for
payment of debts as an executor now has with regard to personal estate.
(2) No person
purchasing real estate of a deceased person from his executor or administrator
shall be bound or concerned to inquire as to the existence of debts, the
necessity for sale, or the application of the purchase-money.
