Queensland Consolidated Regulations Queensland Consolidated Regulations(1) The person in control of a vehicle towing a trailer must ensure the trailer complies with a mass requirement applying to it.
Maximum penalty--
(a) for a minor risk breach--371/2 penalty units; or
(b) for a substantial risk breach--60 penalty units.
(2) A person charged with an offence under this section has the benefit of the reasonable steps defence.
