(b) after 1 January
2008 meters are installed in relation to a compliance request made under the
repealed Plumbing and Drainage Act 2002 or under a permit under the
Plumbing and Drainage Act 2018after 31 December 2007—
(ii) on infrastructure that
supplies retail water services for the premises.
(2) A rate notice or account
issued by a water service provider or a related local government for the
provision of a retail water service to the premises must—
(a) state the
volume of water supplied through each meter during each billing period for the
premises; and
(b) the amount of the total charge for the retail water service
that relates to the volume of water supplied through each meter.
"sole-occupancy unit" , in relation to a building, means—
(a) a room or
other part of the building for occupation by one or a joint owner, lessee,
tenant, or other occupier to the exclusion of any other owner, lessee, tenant,
or other occupier, including, for example—
(i) a dwelling; or
(ii) a room
or suite of associated rooms in a building classified under the
Building Code of Australia as a class 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 building; or
(b) any
part of the building that is a common area.
