Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) The excess period, in relation to a worker who sustains an injury for which compensation is payable, is the period that starts on the day that the worker's entitlement to compensation arises under chapter 3, part 7.
(2) The excess period ends at the end of the day that the amount of weekly compensation paid to the worker exceeds an amount prescribed under a regulation.
