218A Cost of hospitalisation
(1) The costs for which an insurer is liable
for hospitalisation of a worker as an in-patient at a public hospital are—
(a) the cost for the provision of the facility at a public hospital where a
procedure is carried out; and
(b) the cost of medical treatment provided at
the hospital.
(2) The insurer must pay the cost of hospitalisation and
medical treatment, whether the hospitalisation is provided at 1 time or at
different times.
(3) The insurer must pay the cost of hospitalisation that is
published by WorkCover by gazette notice.
(4) In fixing a cost of
hospitalisation to be published under subsection (3) , WorkCover must consult
with self-insurers.
