(1) The chief executive may give the office a written direction requiring the
office to advise the chief executive on any matter relating to impacts on
underground water caused by the exercise of underground water rights.
(2) The
office must comply with the direction.
(3) In this section—
"chief executive" means the chief executive of the department in which chapter
3 is administered.
