Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) An additional area of transferable land may be included in a deed of grant under section 28 if the Minister has consulted with Torres Strait Islanders particularly concerned with the land and a substantial majority of them agree that the additional area should be included in the deed of grant.
(2) Despite subsection (1), an additional area of transferable land may not be included in a deed of grant for Torres Strait Islander land held by a registered native title body corporate.
