(1) An endorsed party for the cultural heritage study has the role of—
(a)
in particular, assessing the level of significance of areas and objects
included in the study area that are or appear to be
significant Torres Strait Islander areas significant and Torres Strait
Islander objects; and
(b) generally, consulting with the sponsor about the
carrying out of the cultural heritage study, and giving help and advice
directed at maximising the quality and authority of the study.
(2) The
endorsed party’s role under subsection (1) (b) may be performed on the
party’s behalf by a nominee.
