Torres Strait Islander party response to public notice and endorsement for study
64 Torres Strait Islander party response to public notice and endorsement for
study
(1) A Torres Strait Islander party to which a public notice (proposed study)
is directed may respond by giving a written notice to the sponsor, within the
time required under the public notice (proposed study), that the Torres Strait
Islander party wishes to take part in the cultural heritage study.
(2) If the
sponsor receives a response from a Torres Strait Islander party under
subsection (1) within the time required under the public notice (proposed
study), the sponsor must endorse the Torres Strait Islander party to take part
in the cultural heritage study.
