TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER CULTURAL HERITAGE ACT 2003 - SECT 28

28 Cultural heritage duty of care guidelines

(1) The Minister may by gazette notice notify guidelines (
"cultural heritage duty of care guidelines" ) identifying reasonable and practicable measures for ensuring activities are managed to avoid or minimise harm to Torres Strait Islander cultural heritage.

(2) In formulating cultural heritage duty of care guidelines, the Minister may consult with the following—

(a) Torres Strait Islander groups;

(b) industry groups;

(c) local governments;

(d) other persons the Minister considers appropriate.
