TRANSPORT OPERATIONS (ROAD USE MANAGEMENT) ACT 1995 - SECT 45

(1) Until a seized thing is forfeited or returned, an authorised officer must allow its owner--

(a) to inspect it; or

(b) if it is a document--to copy it.

(2) Subsection (1) does not apply if it is impracticable or would be unreasonable to allow the inspection or copying.
