SECURITY PROVIDERS ACT 1993 - SECT 49
Protection from liability
49 Protection from liability
(1) An official does not incur civil liability for an act or omission done
honestly and without negligence under this Act.
(2) A liability that would,
apart from this section, attach to an official attaches instead to the State.
(3) In this section—
"official" means— (a) the chief executive; or
(b) a public service
employee.
