Commissioner to give chief executive information about a person’s identity derived from fingerprints
29 Commissioner to give chief executive information about a person’s
identity derived from fingerprints
(1) The Commissioner must give the chief executive information about a
person’s identity derived from fingerprints of the person taken under
section 27.
(2) However, the Commissioner must not give information under
subsection (1) about a particular person if the Commissioner is reasonably
satisfied that giving the information—
(a) may prejudice or otherwise hinder
an investigation to which the information may be relevant; or
(b) may affect
the safety of a police officer, complainant, informant or other person.
