(a) a person who is the holder of a
restricted licence applies under section 10for the grant of an unrestricted
licence for carrying out the same type of security provider functions as the
person is authorised to carry out under the restricted licence; and
(b) the
chief executive has not, before the restricted licence ends, decided whether
to grant the unrestricted licence.
(2) The restricted licence is taken to
continue in force until the day—
(a) the chief executive grants, or refuses
to grant, the unrestricted licence; or
(b) the person withdraws the
application for the unrestricted licence.
(3) If the chief executive grants
the unrestricted licence to the person, the restricted licence is cancelled on
the day the unrestricted licence is granted.
