Deputy president’s functions
174 Deputy president’s functions
(1) The deputy president has the functions conferred on the deputy president
under this Act or an enabling Act that is an Act.
(2) The functions of the
deputy president include the following—
(a) assisting the president in
managing the business of the tribunal to ensure it operates efficiently;
(b)
assisting the president in managing the members of the tribunal and
adjudicators, including the training of members and overseeing their
activities;
(c) adjudicating in the tribunal.
(3) The deputy president is
subject to the direction of the president in performing the deputy
president’s functions, other than adjudicating in the tribunal.
(4) The
deputy president may do all things necessary or convenient to be done for the
performance of the deputy president’s functions.
