QUEENSLAND BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION COMMISSION ACT 1991 - SECT 67W

67W Void payment provision in commercial building contract

(1) A provision in a commercial building contract is void to the extent it provides for payment of a progress payment by a contracting party to a contracted party later than 15 business days after submission of a payment claim.

(2) In this section—


"business day" means a day that is not—

(a) a Saturday or Sunday; or

(b) a public holiday, special holiday or bank holiday in the place in which any relevant act is to be or may be done; or

(c) a day in the period from 22 December in a particular year to 10 January in the following year, both days inclusive.
