PUBLIC RECORDS ACT 2002 - SECT 27

27 Independence in relation to disposal decisions

(1) The archivist and the staff of the archives are not subject to the control or direction of a Minister or a department in relation to making decisions about the disposal of public records.

(2) Subsection (1) has effect despite section 23.
