Powers for enforcing forensic procedure order464 Powers for enforcing forensic procedure order
(1) For enforcing a forensic procedure order, a police officer has the following powers—(a) power to detain the relevant person for a reasonable time and take the person to a place with appropriate facilities and persons for performing the relevant forensic procedure;(b) power to direct the relevant person—(i) to attend at a stated place on a stated day or between stated hours, within 7 days after the direction is given to the person to enable the relevant forensic procedure to be performed; and(ii) to stay at the place for the time reasonably necessary to enable the relevant procedure to be performed.
(2) Subsection (1) (a) applies whether or not the relevant person is given a direction under subsection (1) (b) .
