PARLIAMENT OF QUEENSLAND ACT 2001 - SECT 75
75 Resignation of seat in the Assembly
(1) A member may resign his or her seat by signed writing addressed to the
Speaker.
(2) The member's seat becomes vacant when the Speaker receives the
resignation.
