(1) The purpose of this division is to allow de facto partners to plan their
financial future and resolve financial matters at the end of their
relationship.
(2) This purpose is achieved by permitting de facto partners to
make cohabitation and separation agreements that, in particular circumstances,
exclusively regulate the resolution of financial matters at the end of their
relationship.
